Stroganoff - My Favorite Recipe

Posted By:  Stephanie

I could keep such an amazing recipe a secret, but I think it would be a shame because I feel like everyone should get the opportunity to eat my favorite food EVER!  Will and My Girl love to have this for dinner too.

Ingredients
Egg noodles – ½ a huge bag, or one medium size bag
1 can Cream of Chicken Soup
1 lb ground beef, chicken or turkey
1 onion (chopped) or ¼ cup minced onion
½ to 1 whole stick of butter (it’s up to you)
¼ cup of flour
1 can (2 tiny cans or 1 regular size can) Stems and Pieces Mushrooms (drained)
1 tsp Garlic
1 tsp Salt
¼ tsp Pepper
Sour Cream

Directions
Cook noodles as directed on package
While noodles are cooking brown meat and drain grease.
Slide meat to the side, take the part with the meat off the burner and turn heat down to medium high.
Cut up butter and put in pan, put in onion and stir.
*For real onion cook until soft and sheer
*For minced onion just cook for a minute or so
Stir meat, butter and onion all together
Add all spices and mushrooms, stir and cook for 2-3 minutes
Stir in flour well, let cook for another 2-3 minutes
Add soup and stir until soup is bubbly and hot.
Turn heat down to 1 and add in sour cream, stir quickly then take off burner.
Drain noodles and mix all together.

I hope you enjoy this as much as we do!

  2. NO WAY! Do you eat white or brown stroganoff? I know that is not the technical way of asking that questions but, you know, tell me your answer anyway. = ) I'm all about the white stroganoff, this recipe to be exact but I will go for white stroganoff over brown any day!
